Welcome to Palmetto Bay

Palmetto Bay is an incorporated Miami-Dade County village on the picturesque shores of Biscayne Bay. Biscayne Bay forms the village’s eastern boundary, while the village of Pinecrest and the town of Cutler Bay border Palmetto Bay to the north and south. All of the attractions of Downtown Miami are just 25 minutes north of Palmetto Bay, and the Florida Keys are less than an hour’s drive south. The village has numerous parks and landmark historic residences, including the sprawling waterfront Deering Estate.

Palmetto Bay was incorporated in 2002, but its history stretches back much further. Masterpiece 1920s estates share the village with magnificent newer homes. Housing options include grand Mediterranean-style residences, equestrian estates with barns and stables, and spacious single-family homes in gated communities with first-class private amenities.

Things to Do

Biscayne Bay is an incredible recreation destination that is right on your doorstep! Some of the most popular activities on Biscayne Bay include boating, jet skiing, and kayaking. The grand 1920s Charles Deering Estate sits in a spectacular Bayfront location atop a limestone ridge. Nature trails run through the estate’s diverse habitat, which includes 87 acres of pine rockland, rare tropical hardwood hammock, and coastal wetlands. The Deering Estate hosts many events throughout the year, including an annual Vintage Auto Show. Thalatta Estate is another architectural gem on the Bayshore. This elegant 1920s Mediterranean estate is a popular wedding venue. Other events held at the estate include a Father’s Day Vintage Auto Show. There are many gorgeous green spaces within Palmetto Bay. 50-acre Coral Reef Park has sports facilities and areas of preserved pineland. Perrine Wayside Dog Park spans three acres with a pup-friendly lake and pet water fountains. Palmetto Bay Park has several softball fields and a basketball court.
