Welcome to Miami Beach

Miami Beach is a world-class seaside resort city on an island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Located directly to the east of Miami, Miami Beach is connected by several bridges to the Florida mainland and is known for its beautiful beaches, unbeatable dining, and nightlife.

Miami Beach has a famous Art Deco Historic District comprising more than 800 distinctive pastel-colored buildings built mostly between the 1930s and 1940s. Miami Beach’s many hotels range from whimsical boutiques to grand historic landmarks. The city’s real estate mix is similarly varied. At the high end of the market, palatial waterfront residences in stunning classical styles and opulent Mediterranean villas exchange hands for tens of millions of dollars. Other popular housing options include luxurious apartments in striking high-rise towers dotted along the beachfront.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

South Beach has long been one of the most glamorous destinations in the United States. Smith & Wollensky offers upscale steakhouse dining, pairing mouthwatering USDA Prime dry-aged steaks and ocean-fresh seafood with an award-winning selection of premium wine. Time Out Market Miami is a gourmet foodie destination featuring food and drinks from 21 premier chefs and cocktail makers in a space spanning 17,500 square feet. Joe’s Stone Crab has been a must-visit South Beach icon since it opened in 1913. Things to Do

South Pointe Park is a beautiful spot at the southern tip of Miami Beach. This masterfully landscaped green space is just steps from the sands of South Beach. The 450-foot South Point Pier juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. You can fish on the pier or simply take in stunning panoramic views of the Miami skyline, Biscayne Bay, and Fisher Island. Popular activities on the adjacent beach include surfing, paddleboarding, sunbathing, and volleyball. South Pointe Park also has a splash pad and playground for kids. Haulover Park on Miami Beach’s eastern Atlantic coastline features a marina, tennis courts, and a designated dog park.

Miami Beach is a lively destination at any time of year, but this is especially true when the city hosts one of its major annual festivals and events. In early January, South Beach Jazz Festival features free performances from some of the world’s best jazz musicians. February’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival is a gastronomic celebration with a wide-ranging lineup of events, including premier food tastings, glitzy lunches and dinners, and numerous late-night afterparties. Miami Beach’s LGBT community comes to the forefront at vibrant events including March’s Winter Party Festival and April’s Miami Beach Pride.
